FAQ
Equine Angels Foundation serves hurting children, many with insufficient means, who may otherwise not have access to a program such as ours.
Deb and Doug Brown, following their hearts, provided a home to two horses in need of love. While working with these horses alongside their children, the seed of a vision sprouted and Equine Angels Foundation was born. Guided by their faith, Deb and Doug purchased ten acres of land just eight miles outside of downtown Orlando with the purpose of providing a top-notch facility where rescued horses and children could flourish together.
How did Equine Angels Foundation (EAF) get started?
What kind of children does EAF serve?
It is our experience that all of these kids will learn to have a greater appreciation for others as they learn, grow, and their spirits soar in the ranches interactive environment. While we strive to enhance as many lives as possible. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to accommodate children with severe limitations requiring more than one-on-one instruction. If you still question whether your child can participate in our program, please call us. We would be more than happy to talk with you.
In order to keep things running smoothly, we schedule visits by appointment only. Our program starts the first week of October and runs through the last week in April. We begin scheduling one month in advance, currently we are working through details for appointments and will post details very soon.
How can I get my child involved?
Can I stay and watch my child participate in the ranch’s
program?
Absolutely! In fact, we ask that you accompany your child and share in their triumphs. A big focus of ours is bringing families closer together. A parent’s presence is often integral to a child’s healing process. What better way than to be right there to watch, cheer, and support them as their confidence grows! Whether you are a parent, relative, or guardian, we encourage you to come out to the ranch and relax. It’s important to us that you feel at home.
The only requirement of children is that they want to attend and participate in the activities we have to offer. What we do is priceless! It’s absolutely free.
What does EAF charge for a child to attend the program?
During the months of May through September we are closed to the public and the riding program is not offered. It gives our wonderful horses a chance to rest during the hottest part of the year.
Is the ranch ever closed?
Of course! We’d love to have you visit the ranch. We ask that you schedule a guided tour through our office. Remember, we are open to the public by appointment only. Please email your information via our contact page.
Can we visit the ranch just to tour the facilities?
Is Equine Angels Foundation a religious organization?
The Founders of Equine Angels Foundation and the Board of Directors are Christians who wish to live out their faith by reaching out in love to help children and families of all backgrounds.
